Sweet potato pizza base

Because... PIZZA!


  • 1.5 cups Sweet potato mash (using roasted sweet potatoes)
  • 1/4 cup plus 2 tbsp Tapioca flour
  • 3 tbsp Green banana flour
  • 2 tbsp Ground linseeds
  • 1 pinch Seasalt
  • 1 pinch Onion powder
  • 1 pinch Italian dried herbs


  1. Preheat oven to 180deg. Line a baking tray with non-stick paper.

  2. Mix all ingredients well.

  3. Place 'dough' onto tray, and using damp fingers, press out to form your base. I like to create a more random 'authentic' shape, but feel free to make yours a perfect circle or square! The damp fingers will help keep the dough from sticking.

  4. Bake in oven for 15 mins. Carefully flip and bake for a further 5 mins.

  5. Add your toppings and ENJOY!

  6. Being relatively new on the lectin/grain free trail (a few months), there are some things I just crave, and pizza is one of them! This base is delicious! 

  7. Toppings used:

    capsicum puree, red onion, good quality olives, basil pesto, fresh fennel, sea salt, goats cheese.

    This base is vegan and GF - the toppings are entirely up to you!
